Our Santa Clara, CA client has a contract opening for a

Lab Tech Ops who prepare consumable devices for sequencing experiments using wet lab and good manufacturing techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Follow appropriate safety procedures while handling hazardous chemicals such as hydrofluoric acid
  • Work in a cleanroom environment while adhering to PPE requirements
  • Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions
  • Support daily manufacturing operations including troubleshooting and resolving problems with equipment, devices or materials
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing product quality testing and record the results.
  • Inventory of product components to ensure sufficient supply on production line and replenish materials needed in the production area
  • Perform pre-assembly cleaning of all parts as per established cleaning procedure
  • Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard conditions to the supervisor.

Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Solid wet lab skills and experience
  • Strong organizational skills and able to keep lab and materials in order
  • LEAN or 5S Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks
  • Experience following or developing QC procedures and parameters
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct failure analysis on failed materials or parts
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record keeping skills
  • Experience writing and following SOPs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in an ISO7 cleanroom, production line and/or manufacturing facility

Education:

  • A.A. or B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
